Walton Arts Center  continues their 10×10 Arts Series with So Percussion, a contemporary and exhilarating percussion group praised by the New Yorker as “Exhilarating blend of precision and anarchy, rigor and bedlam.” There will be one performance Thursday, April 16 in Walton Arts Center’s Baum Walker Hall at 7:30 pm. Ticket prices range from $10 to $25 and can be purchased by calling our Box Office at 479.443.5600 or by visiting www.waltonartscenter.org.

So Percussion’s adventurous spirit has redefined the modern percussion ensemble, pushing its voice to the forefront of American musical culture. Since coming together as graduate students at the Yale School of Music, this Brooklyn-based group has built a reputation for presenting 20th century luminaries and playing unusual instruments like the amplified cactus, bowed marimba, aluminum pipes and the German glockenspiel. They’ve graced the stages of major venues such as Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center and have toured Western Europe, South America, Russia and Australia. Don’t miss this truly unique musical experience at Walton Arts Center!
