American Safeguard Insurance, a Conway-based independent insurance agency, said it will open a Springdale office, its first in Northwest Arkansas. Tracy Finn has joined the agency as regional vice president for Northwest Arkansas.

Finn has 18 years of experience in the insurance industry. In his new role, he will lead the agency’s regional growth strategy and oversee client relationships across the market.

“Northwest Arkansas is one of the most dynamic business environments in the country,” said Jason Smith, managing partner of American Safeguard Insurance. “We believe strongly in the long-term future of this region. Bringing Tracy on board to lead our efforts here positions us extremely well to serve businesses and families across NWA.”

Finn and his family have lived in Northwest Arkansas since 2013.

“ASI is building something unique in the insurance industry,” Finn said. “The culture, the vision and the commitment to doing the right thing for clients stood out immediately. I’m excited to help grow the ASI presence in Northwest Arkansas and serve the businesses that are driving this region forward.”

The 1,560-square-foot office at 6522 W. Sunset Ave., Suite C, is under construction, with an estimated move-in date of July 1. The company declined to provide an investment cost. However, “a substantial investment is being made to position this office for long-term success and to quickly become a market leader in the region,” Smith said.

The office is expected to have four full-time staff within six months and grow as the agency expands in Northwest Arkansas. The agency provides risk management and insurance services for customers in 38 states. In addition to its Conway headquarters, it has offices in Jonesboro and Mountain Home.
