LexMed builds artificial intelligence (AI)-powered tools specifically for Social Security disability attorneys. Founder Nick Coleman spent 14 years practicing disability law — with more than 1,000 hearings — and saw how attorneys drowned in medical records and hours of case preparation per claimant.
LexMed seeks to automate that work with tools that analyze medical evidence, transcribe hearings, audit vocational testimony, and generate appellate briefs in minutes instead of hours.
Since its founding in January 2023, the company has grown from a solo concept to six people with paying customers at firms across the country, including pilots with some of the largest Social Security-focused law firms.
LexMed raised a $1 million seed round in September 2025 from 11 strategic investors, including disability attorneys. A September 2025 report from ARise recognized LexMed for its impact on legal technology.
