The Center for Business and Economic Research (CBER) at the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas is collaborating with the Northwest Arkansas Council to release the annual State of the Northwest Arkansas Region Report on Oct. 23.
The report will be released during a luncheon event at the Fayetteville Town Center at 15 W. Mountain St. in Fayetteville. Networking starts at 11 a.m., and the program begins at 11:30 a.m.
“First released in 2011, the State of the Northwest Arkansas Region Report is viewed as one of the best measures of the area’s economy, comparing NWA to peer regions such as Madison, Wis.; Raleigh, N.C.; Provo-Orem, Utah; Des Moines, Iowa; and Austin, Texas,” according to a news release.
In the event, CBER Director Mervin Jebaraj will share economic data from CBER’s Quarterly Business Analysis. Also, the Northwest Arkansas Council will host a speaker for the event. The speaker will be announced soon, the release shows.
“The program will provide insights into the national and regional economic outlook amid ongoing economic uncertainty,” Jebaraj said. “Access to timely economic data is crucial for informed business decisions and effective policymaking, particularly during periods of uncertainty.”
The deadline to register for the luncheon event is Oct. 17. Registration is $60. More information is available online at walton.uark.edu/initiatives/cber/ or by calling 479-575-4151.
