Child Safety Awareness Week at Van Buren Library

The Mayor of Van Buren, Bob Freeman, will deliver a Proclamation at the Van Buren Library to kick off Child Safety Awareness Week on Monday, May 20th at 1:30 PM. On Tuesday, Ms. Tammy Trouillon from UAMS will speak on, "How to Avoid the Dangers of Sexting", at 4:00 PM. Wednesday's presentation at 4:00 PM will be on, "How to Protect Your Teen from Online Predators". Thursday, May 23rd at 4:00 PM, will cover Internet Safety by the Morgan Nick Foundation. The Van Buren Police Department will be at the Library on Friday, May 24 at 4:00 PM to fingerprint children under 18 for free.  This week of events is meant to promote awareness regarding child safety culminating Saturday, May 25th, which is National Missing and Exploited Children's Day.
