University of Arkansas sets date for Quarterly Business Analysis luncheon
The University of Arkansas’ Center for Business and Economic Research (CBER) will host its Quarterly Business Analyst luncheon on June 8 at the Hilton Garden Inn (1325 N. Palak Drive) in Fayetteville.
CBER Director Mervin Jebaraj will discuss economic trends and regional economic issues. The program builds networks of leaders from business, academic and governmental sectors in the region while addressing business highlights of the previous quarter, key economic trends and projections and immediate and long-term issues facing the regional and state economy.
“The program will discuss how updated recession expectations, inflation expectations, the U.S. banking crisis, the Federal Reserve’s current monetary stance in interest rates, and the debt ceiling could possibly reshape the economy,” Jebaraj said in a UA news release Tuesday (April 25). “As the national and state economy grows through these challenges, timely economic information is vital to good business and policy decision making.”
Networking begins at 11:30 a.m. and the 60-minute program begins at noon, which includes time for questions and answers.
Registration by Friday, June 2, is required, and tickets are $50. For more information, visit cber.uark.edu or call (479) 575-4151.
