Connections: Washington Regional shuffles finance duties

Washington Regional Medical System in Fayetteville announced the retirement of longtime CFO Dan Eckels, effective at the end of February. Eckels joined Washington Regional as accounting director in 1989. He took on the controller role in 1998 before being named CFO in 2000.

In corresponding announcements, Washington Regional promoted Marilyn Youmans to vice president of finance and D.J. Burrows to vice president and chief accounting officer.

Youmans has worked for Washington Regional for 47 years and previously was executive director of finance. Burrows has been Washington Regional’s controller since 2020.
