Sponsorships seek to establish a deeper association and integration between an advertiser and the thousands of daily visitors to The City Wire.

Sponsorships vary. The objective is to establish a more unique advertising opportunity than afforded by typical rotating advertisements. They may include fixed ad placements, advertorials, and co-branded content sections.

Sponsorships attempt to deliver more than a "drive by" impression. Whereas much online activity is geared toward direct marketing, sponsorships add the element of brand marketing. Metrics such as CTR may be balanced with brand association, as sponsors seek to tap into The City Wire’s goodwill and establish credibility in its target market.

The City Wire sponsorships must be at a minimum a six-month contract.

    $500 a month
    The Home Sales Report, released monthly, accounts for between 70% and 75% of total Arkansas home sales. A box is constantly seen on the home page showcasing the sponsor’s brand exclusively. Readers are given the option to click through to the sponsor’s website or Facebook page.
  • Weather Box
    $600 a month
    The Weather Box displays the temperature prominently on the home page. Clicking through gives the visitor weather detail and the opportunity to see and click a sponsor’s banner ad linked to their website.
  • Photo Merchant
    $750 a month
    The City Wire Photos offers visitors the ability to purchase prints or downloads of images featured on TheCityWire.com. A box is constantly seen on the home page showcasing the sponsor’s brand exclusively. Clicking through gives the visitor the opportunity to see and click a sponsor’s banner ad linked to their web site. The sponsors brand is also associated with each article photo “carousel” that offers Photo Merchant purchasing.
  • Compass
    Primary – $833 a month (per region)
    Secondary – $415 a month (per region)
    The Compass Report is the only independent economic analysis of Arkansas’ top three metro areas (Central Arkansas, Northwest Arkansas, Fort Smith region). The report measures four leading and four current economic indicators to provide a grade for a regional economy. A box is constantly seen on the home page showcasing the primary sponsor’s brand exclusively. Secondary sponsors’ brands are seen on the report. Sponsorship of the annual Compass Conference is included in the Compass sponsorships.
  • Tusk to Tail
    $500 a month
    Tusk to Tail, a special “web reality” presentation of the tailgating experience as organized, performed and perfected by a group of Hog fans who have been tailgating together for more than a decade. Tusk to Tail is managed by The City Wire. A box is constantly seen on the home page showcasing the sponsor’s brand exclusively. Readers are given the option to click through a display ad to the sponsor’s website or Facebook page.
