The City Wire seeks reader input
The City Wire is again asking its readers to complete a quick survey in an effort to gather input for improvements and to better understand reader demographics.
The City Wire, re-launched in November 2008, is a media company that covers business, politics and culture in the Fort Smith and Northwest Arkansas regions. News on The City Wire also includes statewide business and political news. More than 1.07 million people have visited the website between Nov. 1, 2008 and Oct. 31, 2012, and logged more than 6.27 million pageviews.
The City Wire cuts through the clutter of bank robberies, house fires and meth busts to deliver timely, detailed and accurate business, political and arts & event news. At The City Wire, we deliver today’s news now, and tomorrow’s headlines today.
The City Wire also formed and continues to benefit from content partnerships with KFSM 5 News, Little Rock-based Talk Business, Fayetteville-based KUAF 91.3 FM, and the Jon Williams Morning Show on 104.9 the X.
Results of the November 2011 survey found that 44% of The City Wire readers had income between $50,001 and $100,000, with 26% of readers reporting income between $100,001 and $200,000, and 11% above $200,001.
Results also showed that 67% of readers are between 36-65 in age, with 17% under 35 and 15% 66 or older.
“We continue to be pleased with the traffic growth at The City Wire,” said Patricia Brown, TCW Media chief operations officer. “The City Wire provides a unique and innovative platform for advertising and sponsorship opportunities. Specialized ads and ad campaigns can easily be targeted to the higher income, higher education demographic who frequently visit The City Wire.”
