Interfaith symposium coming to NWACC
BENTONVILLE — An opportunity to learn about various religions represented in NorthWest Arkansas will be available at NorthWest Arkansas Community College.
The event, sponsored by the Honors World Civilization to 1500 class at the college, will be 7 p.m., Nov. 12, in the NWACC Student Center Room 108.
The participating religions include: Buddhism, Islam, Judaism, Sikhism and Wicca. A representative from each religious will be asked to describe their main beliefs, their customs and the misconceptions that are often perceived about their belief system.
The symposium is open to the public but there is no admission charge. Organizers have asked that those attending considering bringing canned goods to donate to the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank.
