New York Times Bestselling Author, James Dashner, to be featured at The Rogers Public Library’s Sixth Annual Conversations Fundraiser on September 29

September 11, 2012 (Rogers, AR) – The Rogers Public Library will hold its 6th annual Conversations Fundraiser  at the John Q. Hammons Center, 3303 Pinnacle Hills Pkwy, Rogers, on September 29, 2012 at 10:00 a.m.  with Rogers Mayor, Greg Hines, acting as the master of ceremonies. This exciting family friendly event brings international best seller and highly acclaimed New York Times bestselling author, James Dashner, to Northwest Arkansas.  
The Infinity Ring is an alternate-history time travel adventure for readers ages 8-12, from the publisher of the international bestselling The 39 Clues™ series. This exciting new multi-platform series combines books, an interactive “Hystorian’s Guide” map feature (named for a centuries-old secret society featured in the books), and a fully-immersive online game experience where readers travel back in time to fix history.
“We couldn’t be more thrilled to have Mr. Dashner highlighted at our annual Conversations Fundraiser.  This is an important event for the Rogers Public Library and all funds collected goes toward our general operating and programming costs,” said Donna Fallin, Executive Director of the Rogers Public Library Foundation.
Families are encouraged to attend the event together and individual tickets start at just $18.00. Dashner will read passages from Infinity Ring #1: Mutiny in Time, answer fan questions and sign copies of all books purchased at the event.
Mr. Dashner will also be in attendance at the Conversations VIP reception Friday, September 28 at 6pm at the Center for Non Profits in Rogers. At this event a new scholarship fund will be dedicated to legendary Rogers teacher, Grace Hill, with comments by various state and local education officials and Dick Trammel as emcee.
