The Northwest Arkansas Tourism Association plans to unveil a new brand, website and strategic plan during an April 19 event at Arvest Ballpark in Springdale.

The event is set for 2 p.m.

Expected to attend include Benton, Carroll, Madison and Washington county dignitaries and representatives from the area’s Convention & Visitors Bureaus and Advertising & Promotion Commissions, the Arkansas Department of Parks & Tourism, and tourism-related businesses.

“The Northwest Arkansas Tourism Association believes in the importance of a regional NWA tourism effort that promotes, markets and creates a NWA image to attract and connect with new travelers and drive tourism dollars to the entire region. By launching and publicizing the new strategic approach and brand, NATA hopes to build support and create a community ‘buzz’ for a regional tourism effort,” noted the NATA statement.

NATA was founded more than 40 years ago and represents the four-county NWA region of Benton, Washington, Carroll and Madison counties. A non-profit organization, NATA is governed by a board of directors comprised of individuals representing the member cities and the area’s tourism entities.
