FAYETTEVILLE — Spring just sprung, but it’s not too early to think about summer — or the Friends of Washington Regional Hospice Summer Garden Party.
The affair is a highlight of the summer social season and the largest fundraiser for the hospital’s hospice program, said to be the oldest in Arkansas. The party is in its 21st year.

The 2012 affair, described as a Southern soiree, will be held June 16 at the truly palatial estate of Sylvia and Tommy Boyer, east of Fayetteville. The couple hosted the party some 10 years ago, before it grew to over 700 guests. All white attire is suggested; hats will help carry out the Southern theme to the hilt.

The Cate Brothers band, always a party favorite, are booked to play.
