Iconic writer
Author Bill Harrison, co-founder of the creative writing program at the University of Arkansas, will share his thoughts on his works the evening of Jan. 27 at Nightbird Books. Harrison’s latest novel, Black August, will be available, but the floor will be open to discuss any of his books, or anything else in print, for that matter.
Harrison is the author of nine novels, three collections of short stories, two major screenplays, essays and travel pieces. Few would argue that he’s one of Fayetteville’s literary treasures and an inspiration to other writers who have found success following their instruction in the UA creative writing program.
