What should I expect if I am admitted to a skilled nursing facility, such as Covington Court Health and Rehabilitation Center?
Upon admission to a skilled nursing facility, you will be assessed by the nursing team and should expect to see a physician within the first three to five days. You will be evaluated by a physical therapist, occupational therapist, and speech language pathologist. Covington Court has an experienced team of therapists, with most having over 15 years experience. Our team is made up of four physical therapists, four physical therapist assistants, three occupational therapists, one occupational therapist assistant, and five speech language pathologists. The therapists work together as a multi-disciplinary team to develop the most appropriate plan of care for each patient. All therapy is provided by licensed staff and each treatment is performed on a one-on-one basis. The goal of our therapy team is to assist each patient in regaining their prior level of function so that they may return home.
