Connections: RMHC of Arkoma appoints new CEO

Leah Jones is the new president and CEO of Springdale nonprofit Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of Arkoma. Jones, formerly the chief operations officer, replaces Stephanie Medford, who resigned July 1 after nearly 13 years in the job to spend more time with her family.

“I could never walk away if I didn’t believe RMHC was in great hands and headed in an amazing direction,” Medford said. “I hope to still be involved, just in a smaller role.”

Jones joined the nonprofit more than 10 years ago as a program director. She was appointed COO five years ago.

RMHC Arkoma is the regional chapter of Ronald McDonald House Charities, a global organization supporting programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children. RMHC Arkoma covers western Arkansas and eastern Oklahoma.
