Cox Communications appoints Gabbard, Pitcock to Arkansas leadership positions
Cox Communications, the largest private broadband company in the U.S., has promoted Tina Gabbard to Arkansas market vice president and named Len Pitcock vice president of government affairs. Cox announced the personnel moves Wednesday (Nov. 3) in a news release.
They are replacing Curt Stamp, who held both roles. Cox promoted Curt Stamp to a corporate position earlier this year based at its corporate headquarters in Atlanta.
Gabbard and Pitcock are based in Cox’s Springdale office.
“With decades of experience in the telecommunications industry, Tina and Len excel at building relationships, are excellent partners and invest in developing effective teams, which will help grow and support Cox’s customers, employees and the communities we serve in Arkansas and throughout the Central Region,” Coleen Jenison, region manager for Cox Communications, said in the release. “We are thrilled to have Tina back home in Arkansas and Len as part of the Cox family.”
Gabbard is a Fayetteville native and University of Arkansas graduate. According to the release, she has worked for Cox for 25 years in various jobs. Most recently, she was based in Oklahoma and led Cox Business marketing efforts for Kansas, Oklahoma and Arkansas.
Pitcock has responsibility across Cox’s six-state Central region, directing the company’s regional public policy efforts, lobbying activities and negotiation of franchise and pole attachment agreements. He previously managed a lobbying firm, The Perimeter Group, and served as executive director of the Arkansas Cable Telecommunications Association. He also worked in television newsrooms across the state and was a spokesperson and legislative director for the state’s wildlife management agency.
Cox has about 300 employees in Arkansas.
