Connections: 7hills Homeless Center names Williams CEO

7hills Homeless Center in Fayetteville has hired Mike Williams as its new CEO, effective Monday (Sept. 27).

Williams is director of development for the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank, a newly created position when he was hired in January 2017. Before that, he held leadership positions with Workmatters and United Way of Northwest Arkansas.

7hills board president Read Hudson described Williams as a passionate advocate because of Williams’ experience with homelessness as a child.

“I can vividly remember being a 4-year-old little boy sleeping on the floor of my grandmother’s house for more than a year because we had nowhere else to go,” Williams recalled. “I am so grateful to have my career come full circle and join the incredible team at 7hills to serve our neighbors experiencing homelessness.”

Steven Mills, 7hills’ COO and the interim CEO, will remain with the organization.
