Rogers engineering firm adds new service

Following solid revenue growth in 2020, Rogers-based firm HP Engineering Inc. made a strategic hire recently to oversee a new service — structural engineering.
Andrew Mock is the firm’s vice president and director of structural engineering. He will direct the new division from HP’s office in Oklahoma City, Okla.
Mock, who has a Ph.D. in civil engineering from the University of Illinois, is a licensed structural engineer and project manager with nearly 10 years of experience in the design, analysis, construction and assessment of building structures across the U.S. According to a news release, he has experience working with multidisciplinary teams as the engineer of record to lead and deliver structural scope for new construction projects, addition/renovation projects, building assessments and forensic evaluations.
Before joining HP, Mock worked in the Dallas/Fort Worth metro and the Chicago metropolitan area since 2014. Most recently, he worked in Illinois for California-based Exponent.
“It has been a dream for HP Engineering for many years [to add structural services], however, it wasn’t until Andrew came along that we knew we had the right person to lead this effort,” HP Engineering President Brandon Pinkerton said in a statement. “He will be a key element in the future growth of our company for the foreseeable future, taking us to the next level.”
Founded in 2007 in Rogers, HP Engineering is a full-service mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection (MEPF) engineering design company. Additional services include energy modeling, daylight modeling, and energy analysis, with a focus on architectural lighting design and an emphasis in energy efficiency.
The firm employs approximately 70 people — up from 58 last year — and has additional offices in Texas (Dallas) and Oklahoma (Tulsa, Oklahoma City).
HP Engineering had 2020 revenue of $7.6 million and expects 2021 revenue of $9.4 million.
