The nonprofit Northwest Arkansas Children’s Shelter (NWACS) announced three new board members Friday (May 15).

Jess Dinkla is sales director for The Hershey Co. in Bentonville; Jim Sliker is CEO of Central States Manufacturing in Lowell; Landon Taylor is president and chief operating officer of First Western Bank in Rogers.

“We are thrilled to welcome Jess, Jim and Landon to the NWACS team,” said Rick Brazile, NWACS interim executive director. “Their collection of experience will be an invaluable asset to our board. They are each dedicated to meeting the needs of the children in our care and providing the guidance to allow the Shelter to fulfill its mission.”

The Northwest Arkansas Children’s Shelter is a private, nonprofit organization that provides 24-hour residential care to children and teens who are victims of abandonment, abuse or neglect. When a child is removed from his or her home, the Shelter is often the first place they go before being placed in a foster home.

Since 1993, the shelter has served more than 11,000 children from throughout Arkansas.

The NWACS board now includes 13 members. Emily Reynolds, a senior counsel in the legal department at Walmart Inc., is the group’s president. Board appointments are for three years, but there are no term limits.
