Bentonville-based software firm Movista is one of the fastest-growing technology companies in the country.

Consider the evidence: Over the past year, the company successfully raised $12 million in Series A funding, acquired its largest competitor and nearly doubled its headcount.

Now there’s more proof. Global accounting and consultancy firm Deloitte recently released its 25th annual Deloitte Technology Fast 500 ranking, and Movista made the list.

The Deloitte Technology Fast 500 ranks companies in North America on the percentage of fiscal year revenue growth over a three-year period. Deloitte gathers information directly from companies, as well as from public databases. To be included in the ranking, companies have to be headquartered in North America, have been in business for a minimum of four years and be operating in the technology, media or life sciences industry.

Unlike rankings like Inc. Magazine’s Inc. 5000 ranking, which is limited to privately held companies, the Fast 500 includes both privately held and publicly traded companies.

Movista’s revenue growth from 2015 to 2018 increased by 372%, according to Deloitte. That ranked No. 293 on the Fast 500. Movista is the only Arkansas-based company on the list.

“It’s an honor to be recognized by Deloitte for our cutting-edge retail execution technology, passion for customer success and rapid growth,” Stan Zylowski, co-founder and CEO of Movista, said in a statement. “As we close out a milestone year of growth and innovation, we look forward to what the future holds and arming our customers with the tech-forward solutions they need to thrive in today’s rapidly changing retail landscape.”

Zylowski and April Seggebruch founded Movista in 2010. The company’s cloud-based software allows companies to manage their distributed workforces via smart devices.
