Generations Bank hires Luke Colley as market president for Rogers, Bentonville
Generations Bank announced the hiring Friday (Nov. 8) of Luke Colley as its market president for Bentonville and Rogers. Colley will serve as the leader in both markets. The bank’s Rogers office is at 3710 Southern Hills Blvd. It plans to open its first Bentonville branch next year. Generations Bank also has an office in Siloam Springs.
“I am really excited to come alongside an already solid team and help grow Generations in Benton County,” said Colley. “Generations has a long and successful history and I am honored to be a part of it.”
A Clarksville native, Colley has spent the past 15 years working in the banking industry. He was most recently chief lending officer at Springdale-based United Bank.
The Northwest Arkansas Business Journal selected Colley as a Forty Under 40 honoree in 2016.
Generations Bank is one of the oldest family-owned banks in Arkansas. The company was chartered in south Arkansas in 1907. Earlier this year. The bank relocated its charter to Rogers.
The company entered the regional banking market in 2010 when it acquired two branches in Rogers and Siloam Springs from Fayetteville-based Signature Bank of Arkansas. That same year, the company changed its long-standing name from Calhoun County Bank to First Bank.
The bank rebranded as Generations Bank in 2016, a reflection of its long history under the leadership of the Harrell family.
The bank’s Bentonville office is under construction on Southwest I Street, near the entrance to the Bentonville Community Center. The bank will occupy roughly a third of an approximately 12,000-square-foot building. The remainder will be available for lease.
The company now has nine brick-and-mortar locations in Arkansas, including four in Northwest Arkansas and the Fort Smith metro.
