Benchmark Group opens Dallas office

Arkansas engineering and architectural firm Benchmark Group has opened a new branch location in downtown Dallas. The company made the announcement Tuesday (Sept. 24).

“We look forward to having a closer proximity to our Dallas clients and are excited for future opportunities in Dallas,” President David Kimball said in a statement

Benchmark Group, which is headquartered in Rogers, is a full-service firm licensed in all 50 states, District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. Services include engineering (electrical, fire protection, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration), energy, architectural design, and interior design for commercial projects.

The company’s diverse portfolio includes new construction, remodels, prototype development and maintenance.

Paul C. Parks started Benchmark Group — solely as an electrical engineering firm called Paul C. Parks Engineering — in 1978, working from his house. He and his wife, Janet, were the employees. It was renamed in 1987 to reflect an expanded range of services.

Parks transitioned to the role of board chairman in February 2018 when Kimball was promoted to president.

In the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal’s annual list of Largest Architectural and Engineering firms published in February, Benchmark Group had 142 employees in Northwest Arkansas. That ranked second among 44 companies included on the list.
