Bentonville restaurant to open second location in Springdale
A popular breakfast, brunch and lunch restaurant is opening a second location in the region.
The Buttered Biscuit announced plans for a new location in the Har-Ber Meadows area west of Interstate 49 in Springdale.
Sam and Anna Russell own the restaurant. They opened The Buttered Biscuit in April 2017 at 1403 S.E. Moberly Lane in Bentonville, near the intersection of Arkansas Highway 102.
Sam Russell previously worked for the Kellogg Co. Anna Russell is a stay-at-home mom/entrepreneur who has previous restaurant experience working for a franchise in Michigan.
The Springdale restaurant will be in a 3,000-square-foot space at 1210 JTL Parkway. Tacos 4 Life and Smudgies Dessert Lab are existing tenants of the building. JRN Investments LLC of Jonesboro is the property owner. Garrett McPherson with Haag Brown Commercial in Jonesboro represented the landlord in the lease agreement. David Erstine with CBRE in Fayetteville and Nathan Eller with Haag Brown Commercial represented the tenant.
Anna Russell said the space still needs to be built out. She expects to be open by the end of November.
“We felt compelled [to expand] by the number of people who have asked us to grow the brand and serve breakfast,” she said. “We chose Springdale because we feel like it’s close enough to the original store that we can manage it.”
Russell said the menu will be similar to the Bentonville store.
“We’re sticking to what we do best,” she said.
The Buttered Biscuit will be open from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Russell said she expects to hire 30 to 40 full- and part-time employees.
