Downtown Jonesboro Association accepting grant requests
Applications are currently available for the Downtown Jonesboro Association’s Interior/Façade grant program. This program will give Downtown Jonesboro businesses and property owners the opportunity to amplify their building interiors and exteriors with new paint, awnings, signs and more, DJA Executive Director Lindsey Wingo said.
Designed with the downtown community in mind, the DJA wanted to seek a high impact project that benefitted downtown businesses and visitors, she said. The Downtown Interior/Façade grant will allocate funds for individuals to improve or update their building façades. The money that is received may be used for paint, store front signage, awnings or canopies, architectural repair, etc., she added.
This program was developed to offer funds strictly to those who wish to improve the façade of their buildings, preserving the historical and architectural value that Downtown Jonesboro offers.
To apply, contact the DJA at (870) 919-6176 or [email protected]. All applications must be received by March 19, 2019 for review by the DJA grant committee and Main Street Arkansas.
Established in 2010, the DJA is a non-profit organization that seeks to provide community outreach and to promote downtown Jonesboro as the place to eat, shop and live. The organization is made up of a board of directors, staff personnel and many local volunteers.
