Fuego Tortilla Grill to open in Fayetteville
The first Fuego Tortilla Grill outside of Texas will open Dec. 16 in Fayetteville, according to a news release. A grand opening event is set for Jan. 13.
The 3,250-square-foot fast-casual Mexican restaurant will be at 2190 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. It’s known for its roasted poblano queso, tacos and handmade tortillas.
“Fayetteville is the perfect place to start our next chapter,” said Garrett Mills, CEO of Uncommon Brands, a Dallas-based restaurant holding company. “College towns are part of Fuego’s DNA. It’s where our story began and where our fans first made us a part of their everyday lives. Expanding into a new state is a big moment for the brand, and we couldn’t imagine a better community to share it with.”
Backed by Crux Capital, Uncommon Brands invests in and scales restaurant concepts and acquired Fuego Tortilla Grill in 2023. Fuego Tortilla Grill has five locations in Texas and is expanding across the South.
Asked how much was invested into opening the new Fayetteville location, Mills said, “We invested a substantial amount and are excited to bring approximately 50 new jobs to the Fayetteville area.”
The restaurant is open 24 hours from Tuesday through Sunday. It’s closed Mondays. The new Fayetteville location will feature an updated menu with new items, including the Papa Chorizo breakfast taco with chorizo and potatoes, smoked brisket nachos, two new pork tacos, the 9 Juan Juan, and Green Chile Carnitas, as well as tres leches churros for dessert.
