CarMax opens Rogers dealership
Richmond, Va.-based used vehicle retailer CarMax recently opened its first Arkansas dealership on more than 15 acres along Interstate 49 in Rogers.
The 11,500-square-foot dealership at 6360 S. Dixieland Road has a capacity of about 500 vehicles. Most of its nearly 30 employees are full-time.
“CarMax is the nation’s largest retailer of used cars, and our decision to open in Rogers reflects our commitment to meeting customer demand and providing an exceptional car buying and selling experience through our omni-channel model where customers can buy and sell their cars their way: online, in-store, or through a seamless combination of both,” according to a company statement.
CarMax declined to disclose how much it invested in the new location but paid $5.16 million for the property in November 2023. PWX LLC, an affiliate of Whisinvest Realty of Little Rock, was the seller. In December 2024, Rogers issued a building permit for the property valued at $2.13 million.
“The growth in the region is tremendous, and we’re excited to be a part of it,” said Bradley McMahon, location general manager at the Rogers CarMax. “When selecting a new location, CarMax looks for a strong workforce and community support, and we’ve found both here in Rogers.”
Established in 1993, CarMax has more than 255 dealerships in 42 states. The company has 28,000 employees.
