One of the largest real estate companies in Jonesboro is changing its name. Halsey Thrasher Harpole is now Halsey Real Estate.

The company was founded by Jerry Halsey Jr., who serves as its CEO and president. It began in the farming real estate sector, and it has evolved to serve other real estate sectors throughout Northeast Arkansas. That includes commercial, residential, farm, and specialty sectors such as self-storage.

“This name change reflects what’s always been true: real estate is personal to us,” said Halsey. “It’s more than a business — it’s a family commitment rooted in service, integrity and long-term investment in our communities.”

Halsey Real Estate has licenses in Arkansas, Tennessee, Missouri, Mississippi and Alabama. It is one of the state’s 10 largest property management firms and the largest in Northeast Arkansas.

Jerry and his wife, Cheri Halsey, are joined in the business by their daughter Taylor Wilson and her husband, Landon, who represent the fourth generation of family leadership.

“Ensuring the business continues with a fourth generation is a point of pride for our family, and it’s a reaffirmation of our commitment to Northeast Arkansas and the people who have trusted us for decades,” Halsey said. “We’re not just doing business here — we’ve planted roots, built trust and plan to keep serving this region for generations to come.”

“Our family has been building relationships and helping people in this region for generations,” said Taylor Wilson. “I’m excited to carry that forward — ensuring we continue to provide the highest level of service to our clients.”

Jerry Halsey chairs the Arkansas Real Estate Commission and he was recently appointed by Gov. Sarah Sanders to the Arkansas Highway Commission.
