Little Rock-based florist Tipton & Hurst will open its first Northwest Arkansas store at Village on the Creeks in Rogers, the company announced Monday (May 19).

The family-owned business, founded in 1886, will open its fifth location at 5204 Village Parkway, Suite 5. The 2,200-square-foot store is slated to open Sept. 1 and will have eight to 12 employees. The company declined to provide investment costs.

The following will be offered at the store, similar to its central Arkansas locations: bridal and gift registry; fresh flowers, including for events; blooming and green plants; gifts and home décor; and linens and tabletop essentials.

“This expansion represents a dream realized for our family and our company,” said Howard Hurst, president and owner. “My grandfather and father would be incredibly proud to see the family business continue to grow and serve new parts of our beloved state. We’re honored to join the Northwest Arkansas community.”

The store will offer multiple brands such as Herend, Ginori 1735, and Juliska, and an exclusive-in-Arkansas collection of Simon Pearce handblown glassware and pottery, the release shows. The Rogers location will also provide “full-scale floral and event services for weddings, corporate gatherings, and milestone celebrations.”

Last year, the company welcomed its fourth generation of leadership, with Josie Hurst joining the business.
