Fayetteville native Kyle Pate was a left-handed pitcher for the University of Arkansas Razorbacks baseball team before transferring to pitch for other college and university baseball teams.
He pitched for Crowder College, Lee University, and trained with his agent before returning to the UA to study. In 2018, he joined e-commerce marketing company Engine. Six months later, he was one of the founding employees for e-commerce marketing startup Julep. He worked there until joining Moses Tucker Partners in February 2022.
“I’ve always been interested in real estate,” Pate said. “I was originally studying finance because I wanted to go into investment banking. But I essentially wanted to get into investment banking to build capital to go into commercial real estate investing. So I thought, ‘How about I just streamline this process?’ I’m in Northwest Arkansas, one of the best markets in the country. How about I go into commercial real estate and start learning from the ground up?”
At Moses Tucker Partners, he’s played a key role in more than $35 million in transactions, including Fayetteville deals such as the Powerhouse Seafood & Grill and Wilson Park Apartments properties. He represented the seller in the Powerhouse deal and the buyer in the Wilson Park Apartments transaction.
“I’m working on bringing some new restaurant concepts to the market in both Fayetteville and Bentonville,” Pate said. “I’m working with chains and local concepts … like a northern Italian handmade pasta concept.”
His clients range from area investors to regional and national institutions. He works with a team of 10 brokers in Moses Tucker Partners’ Northwest Arkansas office, which also has a property management team.
Pate is a graduate of Leadership Fayetteville class of XXXVII. He said the program is about relationship building and helped him learn more about the community. He’s seeking to become a certified commercial investment member (CCIM) because it’s the “gold standard for commercial real estate. You’re learning the ins and outs of investment analysis for commercial real estate.” This knowledge will allow him to help clients make the best decisions. He expects to earn the designation this fall.
He’s an active volunteer, supporting 99 Balloons’ bEfriend, and he serves on the boards for Yvonne Richardson Community Center and Bike POC. Pate enjoys playing golf, traveling and reading.
