Class of 2025 Bryan Harmon Project Manager Nabholz Construction, Siloam Springs

The path into the world of construction was cemented later in Bryan Harmon’s life. He didn’t grow up in a construction family, and no one in his family ever worked in construction. In high school, he excelled in math and science, but he didn’t know what he wanted to do in life until deeper into college.

“Nothing interested me in those fields, but construction management sparked my curiosity as it still uses the foundations of math,” he said. “It was a more hands-on approach in how things are built.”

A freshman techniques class hooked him on construction’s blend of creativity and problem-solving, and he knew it was something he wanted to make a career of and could enjoy every day.

After completing two summer internships with Nabholz, Harmon worked part time during his last semester at John Brown University as a project engineer while finishing school with a degree in construction management. He has capitalized on opportunities, working as a project engineer on the Walmart Call Center, Northside High School renovations and additions, and Motto by Hilton Bentonville Downtown, a $30 million endeavor. On the hotel, he was promoted from project engineer to project manager, his current title.

That rapid advancement was not only impressive but also showcased his skills, leadership and dedication. Harmon has shown an ability to adapt quickly to challenges, provide effective communication, work with a variety of personalities and continue to learn. Throw in a strong work ethic, self-confidence, and good decision-making, and you’ll understand how he has excelled.

“I may not always be the smartest guy in the room, but I’m able to work well with others to help manage someone else’s strengths for the better of the team,” he said. “And I’m willing to do whatever it takes to find the answer or solve what issues may arise. I have always been a leader or aspired to be a leader and influence all of those around me.”

In high school, Harmon received the Brandon Burlsworth Award for Character. It’s an award given to athletes who represent the ideals of excellence and moral character that the walk-on standout football player at the University of Arkansas had. He volunteers as a coach at the Boys and Girls Club in Siloam Springs.
