Breeze Airways will provide new nonstop flights from XNA to Pensacola, Fla., on an Airbus A220-300 aircraft.
Northwest Arkansas National Airport (XNA) in Highfill will offer new nonstop flights to Pensacola, Fla., starting Sept. 4, according to a Wednesday (May 7) news release. Low-cost carrier Breeze Airways will provide the flights.
One-way fares to Pensacola International Airport start at $49, the release shows. The 1-hour and 46-minute flight departs XNA at 10:48 a.m. and arrives in Pensacola at 12:34 p.m. Flights operate on Sundays and Thursdays, with some Tuesday flights available near holidays.
“We’re always working to expand travel options for our region, and this new nonstop to Pensacola is a great addition,” said Aaron Burkes, CEO of Northwest Arkansas National Airport. “It’s another step toward making sure our passengers have convenient access to the destinations they care about most.”
Breeze will serve the new route using a 137-seat Airbus A220-300 aircraft. The airline has a new fleet of the aircraft, offering premium seating options and high-speed Wi-Fi. Travelers can choose from bundled or a la carte options, and bundles include add-ons such as bags, seats and in-flight Wi-Fi.
“We’re excited to expand our service to Pensacola from Bentonville-Fayetteville,” said David Neeleman, Breeze Airways’ founder and CEO. “These new nonstop routes are an extension of our commitment to serve underserved communities, and we look forward to fulfilling that commitment to our guests in Arkansas.”
XNA has six airlines and 26 nonstop destinations. In the first quarter of 2025, enplanements at XNA rose by 13.31% to 257,992 from 227,667 in the same period last year. Enplanements comprise passengers flying out. In March, enplanements increased by 22.97% to a record 100,768 from 81,940 in the same month last year.
By comparison, enplanements at Clinton National Airport in Little Rock increased by 0.2% to 239,914 in the first quarter from 239,436 in the same period last year. In March, enplanements increased by 4.26% to 91,020 from 87,300 in the same month in 2024.
Enplanements at Fort Smith Regional Airport fell by 1.81% to 13,434 in the first quarter from 13,682 in the same period last year. In March, enplanements increased by 0.48% to 4,980 from 4,956 in the same month last year.
