Eric Howerton had an idea. In recent years, podcasts and YouTube videos have become extremely popular, and many people want to get into the space. There are several obstacles they have to overcome, however.
Creating content on these platforms can be technical and tedious, and many people lack the skills to do so. Howerton founded Rogers-based PodcastVideos.com to fill that need.
“We eliminate friction for planning, creating, editing, distributing, and monetizing audio and video conversational content at scale by leveraging research, technology and processes that create affordability,” said Bob Halstead, president of PodcastVideos.com. “We have two pillars for our business. First, our production pillar provides full services to produce conversational content at our physical studio locations, custom studios for corporations, individuals, and events, and remote services for pre- and post-production services such as editing and distribution. Secondly, our media pillar provides resources, products, and advice to corporate and individual influencers across the glob.”
In March 2024, the company opened its flagship studio in the One Uptown building in Pinnacle Hills. The 2,000-square-foot area contains three group and three individual studio set scenes. On the media side, company officials built a content site and have written about 300 articles.
PodcastVideos is not a full-service marketing or advertising agency, but it does support those agencies with expertise in the conversational video content space.
Video consumption has become the leading way people engage with individual and corporate communications. Traditional video production has failed to accelerate at the pace of video distribution opportunities, Halstead said. This causes two significant problems in the marketplace.
“First, individual influencers, such as YouTube or Instagram stars, find themselves facing real business problems once they have created a following — we hope that our media resources keep them successful and help them grow by providing a pathway of reliable, credible information. Second, corporations have yet to leverage the true power of conversational content in addition to their other traditional communication strategies. We hope that our production services can help companies and their agencies quickly accelerate more videos, more often, and with deeper purpose,” he said.
Since the company was founded, it has seen 300% growth in the number of recordings each month it averaged from March 2024 to February 2025. Since operations started, 2,000 hours of recordings and 27,000 podcast downloads have been logged. The company’s goal is to start a franchise network nationwide.
Editor’s note: This company is a finalist for the Northwest Arkansas Outstanding Business Awards — Small Business category. Winners will be announced at a luncheon on April 9.
