Connections: Cobblestone Farms to host key fundraiser in September

Fayetteville-based Cobblestone Farms plans to host more than 250 attendees at its Cultivating Community fundraiser at 6 p.m. Sept. 18 at the Barn at the Springs in Springdale.
According to the nonprofit, its mission is to “cultivate a community free of hunger through sustainable agriculture.” According to a 2024 U.S. Department of Agriculture report, Arkansas ranked No. 1 for food insecurity.
Speakers include event co-chairs Kyle Kinnard, executive vice president of health and wellness for Walmart U.S. and Seth Malley, senior vice president of food sourcing for Walmart U.S.
The fundraiser is the nonprofit’s largest of the year and will include a farm-to-table dinner created by area chefs with produce from the nonprofit’s fields. Sponsorships range from $2,500 to more than $25,000. Last year, the event raised more than $170,000.
A seven-member board of directors leads the nonprofit. Last year, it had 520 volunteers, grew 22,473 pounds of produce, and provided 186,160 servings of food to Northwest Arkansas residents facing food insecurity.
