Founded in 2024 by Carter Collins, Carter’s Flowers and More serves the Lincoln area with a knowledgeable staff and friendly service that can deliver your order anywhere in the world.
Carter’s Flowers and More is a full-service florist that can accommodate everyday floral needs or large events and gatherings.
What can Carter’s Flowers and More do for you? What can’t they do? The shop offers flowers for all occasions, including birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, funerals, graduations, proms, new babies or get well wishes.
You’ll also find flowers for holidays ranging from Easter to Mother’s Day to Valentine’s Day and other special dates. There are other offerings, such as plants, gift baskets and individual gifts.
The delivery area covers Lincoln, Prairie Grove, Fayetteville, Summers and Westville, Okla.
While the floral business is the shop’s bread-and-butter, the “and more” side of the business is also growing rapidly.
“We have changed a lot in the terms of growth as we have expanded to the next-door building to open the ‘and more’ side where we will provide home decor, gifts and boutique items,” Collins said.
Collins is an Arkansas master florist, a certification program offered by the Arkansas Florists Association (AFA) that recognizes and validates the skills and knowledge of florists.
Standing out with unique arrangements and gifts is key to the company’s early success along with encouragement and faith, he said.
“We make almost everything special and custom to the needs and wants of the customers,” Collins said. “I first thank God for leading me in the path in which he has, my customers for the loyalty they have shown, and my family for the support and work they have put into me and my dreams.”
Northwest Arkansas’ population and community growth will certainly lead to more opportunities for the Lincoln-based floral and gift business. Collins said the area is “a warm, welcoming place” that he expects will lead to continued expansion.
“We support any form of local and local florals and growth,” he said. “These things help bring the community together, which in turn helps the growth and future of the company.”
Editor’s note: This company is a finalist for the Northwest Arkansas Outstanding Business Awards — Startup Business category. Winners will be announced at a luncheon on April 9.
