Patrick Curry and Brian Blackman had many years of experience in the insurance industry. The two men thought they could streamline processes and make the process more efficient. In 2021 they opened Allegiance Title of Arkansas.

Allegiance Title is a full-service title insurance company and is licensed in Arkansas and Missouri. Services include residential and commercial closings, title insurance, and 1031 Exchange Transactions.

“We live out our core values — remarkability, innovation, simplicity, and expertise — every day,” Curry said. “These principles guide how we operate, how we serve, and how we lead. In our first three years, we’ve successfully handled intricate transactions including a multicounty complex timberland acquisition and a multiparcel solar farm, each project requiring a 100-year title search.”

The company’s commercial team consists of four people. The group facilitated a $31 million national referral and a $37 million multicounty commercial refinance in south Arkansas since it opened. The team has helped area business owners expand their footprint in Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Louisiana, Mississippi, Kansas and Alabama.

“We partner closely with real estate agents, lenders, builders, and attorneys to ensure every transaction is secure, seamless and stress-free,” Curry said. “Our residential team record is a $4.5 million purchase.”

Since the company started it has expanded and now has two offices in Washington and Benton counties and employs 20 workers. In May 2023, Amanda Brumbelow joined Curry and Blackman as a partner.

“Nearly 25% of our team is bilingual, allowing us to serve clients in Spanish, [American] Sign Language and Lao, reflecting the diversity of our community and our commitment to inclusive service,” Curry said.

Allegiance has experienced revenue growth in recent years. Revenue ballooned by 91.3% from year one to year two, then grew by 49.3% from year two to year three.

Northwest Arkansas has served as a solid base for the company’s operations. Every day more and more people move to the region, and the need for services grows, Curry said.

What sets Allegiance apart from its competitors?

“In a world of instant gratification, we aim to be the title company that’s easy to work with without sacrificing quality, care or connection,” Curry said. “That’s what sets Allegiance Title apart. Our greatest success is our people. We’ve built a culture where employees feel valued, supported and challenged to grow. We believe our true legacy will be the leaders we’ve developed both within Allegiance and in the broader industry.”

Editor’s note: This company is a finalist for the Northwest Arkansas Outstanding Business Awards — Small Business category. Winners will be announced at a luncheon on April 9.
