Westminster, Colo.-based The Alternative Board, a global franchise providing advisory boards and coaching for business leaders, has opened a Northwest Arkansas franchise.
Diana Rogers is president and CEO of The Alternative Board Northwest Arkansas, chairing business owner advisory boards and providing coaching, strategic transformation programs, and leadership workshops for area businesses.
Rogers has 30 years of experience in corporate and field settings in the retail and manufacturing industries. She’s worked for global public and private companies, private equity, franchises and startups, and has served on nonprofit boards.
While the new franchise is not the first in Arkansas, Rogers said it’s the only one in the state.
“The Alternative Board helps business owners and their leadership teams achieve more — more profitability, more productivity, and more personal fulfillment,” said Jason Zickerman, president and CEO of The Alternative Board. “Through our business owner advisory boards, business owners uncover real opportunities to grow their business and achieve their personal visions. We’ve seen remarkable results when business owners participate in our advisory boards and work with our certified facilitator coaches.”
According to a news release, the advisory boards comprise area business owners in noncompeting businesses. Members meet monthly to share experiences, solve challenges, and help reach new opportunities to become more profitable and successful. Clients are typically members for an average of five years, and some have been members for 30 years.
The Alternative Board is invitation-only, and most members join through referrals from existing members. The boards have six to 12 members. Founded by Allen Fishman in 1990, The Alternative Board has more than 4,600 members globally.
