The Boys & Girls Club of Benton County has named Cheryl Hatfield as its new CEO, according to a Wednesday (March 12) news release. Hatfield replaced Matt Taliaferro, who left in August to become CEO of a Boys & Girls Club in North Carolina.

According to the release, Hatfield recently launched and managed a small business and has experience in leadership, strategic growth and community impact. She spent more than two decades managing multimillion-dollar client portfolios for global brands such as Procter & Gamble, Coca-Cola and Walmart Inc. She’s developed partnerships, implemented innovative solutions, and contributed to revenue growth, profitability improvements and operational efficiencies.

Beyond her corporate work, Hatfield worked as a CASA volunteer advocate, on the board of Big Brothers Big Sisters and in multiple nonprofit initiatives throughout the region.

“We are thrilled to welcome Cheryl Hatfield as our new CEO,” said Drew Collom, board president of the Boys & Girls Club of Benton County. “Her impressive background in business leadership, strategic growth and nonprofit advocacy makes her the ideal person to guide our organization into the future. We look forward to working together to continue making a difference in the lives of the children and families we serve.”

In her new role, Hatfield will work to expand the organization’s reach and impact. She will focus on strengthening programs, fostering partnerships and enhancing the organization’s ability to serve the community.

“Leading the Boys & Girls Club of Benton County unites my two passions of business leadership and youth development,” Hatfield said. “As a mother whose sons were club kids who thrived in these programs, I am deeply committed to extending these transformative services to more local families across Benton County.”

The organization ranges between 95 and 105 full- and part-time staff, depending on the season.
