Taquería Lucha will open a restaurant in March at 412 W. Dickson St. in Fayetteville. The team behind Tula in Fayetteville established the restaurant in 2023 and built a following as a food truck at regional events and a semi-permanent location on Fifth Street in Bentonville.
Lucha’s menu includes tacos, aguas frescas and sides. The menu is expected to be expanded to include burritos, quesadillas, margaritas and draft beer.
The new location will have seating for 60 indoors and 32 outdoors and a full-service bar. About $222,000 was invested into remodeling the space. Owner Juan Bahena is an experienced restaurant owner with other ventures, including Tula and Costa, which is planned for downtown Fayetteville.
“We’re excited to open Lucha in Fayetteville and bring something unique to Dickson Street,” said Bahena. “Moving Lucha to Fayetteville feels like we are bringing it home to our amazing community.”
The food truck will continue to operate for event catering. Taquería Lucha has about 20 employees.
Ozark Charcuterie
Ozark Charcuterie has opened its first brick-and-mortar location at 3 E. Mountain St. in downtown Fayetteville. According to a news release, the 1,100-square-foot Ozark Charcuterie & Wine Bar represents a significant expansion for founder and owner Mallory Files.
She launched the business in 2021, focusing on catering and curated charcuterie boards. The new location, which opened in September, serves Ozark Charcuterie’s hand-crafted party foods along with wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages. About $80,000 was invested in the new location.
“Having a permanent space where our customers can experience Ozark Charcuterie in person, one where we can interact and experiment with new offerings and experiences regularly, is a major goal realized,” Files said. “We’ve poured our hearts into this space as an opportunity to deepen our relationships with customers, local producers and our beloved Northwest Arkansas community who have supported us since day one.”
The new location offers grab-and-go options, online catering and a rotating menu. Ozark Charcuterie & Wine Bar is in the Fayetteville Outdoor Refreshment Area, allowing people to enjoy an alcoholic beverage in the downtown district. Ozark Charcuterie has 12 part-time staff.
