Health care provider Mercy opened its sixth new clinic in Arkansas in recent months and the state’s second 65 Prime+ clinic. The 4,067-square-foot 65 Prime+ clinic is at 3801 W. Financial Parkway, Suite 102, in Rogers.
Its new 4,000-square-foot primary care clinic is at 4502 S. Dixieland Road in Rogers.
Mercy opened the state’s first 65 Prime+ clinic in October in Fort Smith. The clinics are geared toward Medicare patients and those at least 65. The clinics offer an expanded primary care experience with longer and more frequent appointment times.
Physicians joining the new Rogers clinic on Financial Parkway include Dr. Shalini Bichala, Dr. Laura Belviy, Dr. Raymond Mahan and Dr. Eric Ranon.
“This new clinic is dedicated to serving seniors with personalized, compassionate care,” said Dr. Lance Faddis, Mercy’s regional executive physician for primary care. “We are ready to meet the unique needs of older adults and provide them with the time, convenience and support they need to be healthy.”
Following are some of the treatments available:
• Flu shots and other immunizations.
• Medicare annual wellness visits.
• General medical evaluations and wellness exams.
• Minor illnesses and injuries, such as strains, sprains and fractures.
• Monitoring of chronic conditions including diabetes, hypertension, incontinence, osteoporosis and high cholesterol.
• Care for Alzheimer’s disease, dementia and early memory loss.
• Care for Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders.
The clinic has eight exam rooms with reclining examination tables and offers complete lab services. Staff comprises eight caregivers. Dr. J. Travis Smiley, previously based at Mercy Clinic Family Medicine in Lowell, will join the new clinic on Dixieland Road. Staff includes four caregivers, with more to be added this fall.
Mercy soon plans to open a senior-focused clinic within a Springdale clinic.
