Nick Ryburn, vice president of adult education at Northwest Technical Institute in Springdale, has been named outstanding adult education administrator for 2024 by the Arkansas Association for Continuing and Adult Education, according to a news release.

Ryburn and his team serve about 1,100 learners annually as one of the largest education programs in the state. The staff comprises leaders in their fields and paraprofessionals who are bilingual in Spanish or Mandarin. NWTI’s Adult Education Center is at 610 E. Emma Ave., Suite 200, in Springdale.

“Our Adult Education Center offers citizenship preparations, Arkansas high school equivalency prep, English language learning, workforce preparation courses, soft skill training and more,” Ryburn said. “I believe it is important to empower individuals through new knowledge and skills.”

Ryburn recently received a new working title as vice president of adult education. He formerly was director of adult education. The new title better aligns with his current and growing responsibilities, the release shows.
