About 3,200 square feet will become available for lease in January following the closure of Haxton Road Studios at 222 S.E. Second St. in downtown Bentonville.

Neil Greenhaw, a Bentonville real estate developer, musician and founder of Haxton Road Studios, said the music and sound production studio will close at the end of December after “14 successful years.”

The studio served clients like Walmart, Coca-Cola, and Saatchi & Saatchi. It also hosted private bookings from artists like Robin Thicke and Saturday Night Live cast member Kenan Thompson. The studio recorded hundreds of local musical acts, commercials, voiceovers, business podcasts and audiobooks. It also provided event space for area charities.

“As a former touring musician, Haxton Road allowed me to share my love of music and business,” Greenhaw said. “The original studio off Haxton Road was the catalyst for the vision to build a world-class music studio that served our clients for many years and anchored our first commercial building in what is now the Haxton District one block from the Bentonville square.”

He and his wife, Lauren, own Greenhaw Development Co., and its portfolio includes multiple holdings in downtown Bentonville and Northwest Arkansas.

“For many years, we have supported the local music and arts scene with Haxton,” Greenhaw said. “With Bentonville’s explosive growth and ever-changing landscape, we are excited about this shift of direction for the space and how we can continue to support our community.”

The change will not affect the Phonebox Agency, which provides custom music and sonic branding elements for business clients, he said.
