First National Bank of NWA will establish its third Rogers branch at 303 S. Arkansas St. The more than 5,500-square-foot full-service branch will be built at the southeast corner of South Arkansas and East Poplar streets, adjacent to Railyard Park in downtown Rogers.

According to county records, the bank’s parent company, First National Bank of Fort Smith, acquired the 0.33-acre property for $950,000 in January 2023.

Groundbreaking is set for Nov. 13. Rogers-based JC Construction is the general contractor, and BUF Studio of Bentonville is the designer, according to the bank. According to the bank’s Nov. 5 press release, the branch is expected to host events similar to the Bentonville and Fayetteville bank centers.

“I am excited about another FNBNWA bank that focuses on providing a unique customer and community-focused banking experience that engages, embraces and enhances the surrounding community,” said Rob Husong, president of First National Bank of NWA.

First National Bank of NWA, a division of First National Bank of Fort Smith, has six branches, including two in Rogers and one in Lowell, Centerton, Fayetteville and Bentonville. Chartered in 1872, First National Bank of Fort Smith has 13 banking centers in the Fort Smith metro area.

According to the most recent data from Federal Deposit Insurance Corp., First National Bank of Fort Smith has $2.14 billion in total assets.

“With the growth of downtown Rogers, I am proud that we are able to expand our services for our customers by investing in the communities we serve,” said Sam Sicard, CEO of First National Bank of Fort Smith.
