NorthWest Arkansas Community College in Bentonville has started to offer one-day workshops on artificial intelligence (AI).

“These AI workshops provide hands-on learning experiences focused on applying artificial intelligence in the workplace,” said Chris Lynch, NWACC’s director of advanced technologies. “Participants will explore tools for data analysis, communication, time management, and more, gaining practical skills for using AI to enhance productivity and decision-making. Each session offers an interactive environment to develop foundational AI knowledge and progress toward more advanced training.”

The in-person workshops will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Nov. 14 and Dec. 12 at Burns Hall. Each workshop is the same, and a certificate will be awarded at its conclusion. No prior AI experience is necessary. Advanced workshops will be offered soon.

The deadline to register for the November workshop is Nov. 13, and the deadline to register for the December workshop is Dec. 11. Registration is $120 and can be completed online at training.nwacc.edu. Lynch said this workshop is expected to be hosted regularly.

“As AI technologies continue to evolve, the workforce must be trained in their application,” he said. “Industries across the globe are adopting AI-driven processes, and employees who understand how to use these tools will have a competitive edge. This training prepares workers to keep up with technological advancements and lead their industries in innovation.”
