Gary Head, CEO of Signature Bank of Arkansas, speaks at the grand opening ceremony for Banco Sí in downtown Springdale.

Fayetteville-based Signature Bank of Arkansas has opened its second Banco Sí at 103 W. Emma Ave. in downtown Springdale. Banco Sí is the bank’s bilingual division. The 3,189-square-foot location in Springdale has seven employees and includes a street-facing ATM.

“The rollout of Banco Sí personifies our mission to meet customers where they are — both in terms of community engagement and technology investment,” said Brant Ward, president of Signature Bank of Arkansas. “Our team has received overwhelmingly positive feedback from the Hispanic community of Northwest Arkansas, which is exactly why we do what we do. Our approach is built on the idea that every one of our customers deserves the opportunity to bank how they want to – and without barriers.”

In September 2022, the first Banco Sí opened in downtown Rogers as the first dedicated bilingual bank in Arkansas.

According to a 2022 diversity report, Northwest Arkansas’ racially and ethnically diverse populations are expected to comprise over 32% of the population by 2026, up from 29% in 2021. The Hispanic population is projected to have the largest gains, rising to 19% of the region’s population by 2026 from 17% in 2021.

According to a news release, financial software firm CSI integrated Banco Sí with its NuPoint core banking system, which provides the following features for account holders who prefer to bank in Spanish:
• Translation of mobile banking services and features from English to Spanish;
• Bilingual lending services through CSI’s Hawthorn River loan origination system; and
• Instant-issue debit card machines.

Banco Sí in Springdale is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays. As part of Signature Bank, Banco Sí and Signature Bank customers can go to either bank for banking services. A key difference between Signature Bank and Banco Sí is that every Banco Si employee is bilingual in English and Spanish.

Founded in 2005, Signature Bank of Arkansas has opened 10 locations throughout Arkansas. Fayetteville-based White River Bancshares Co. is the holding company for Signature Bank. As of June 30, the most recent Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. report, Signature Bank had total assets of $1.2 billion.
