The Arkansas Association of Asian Businesses, a nonprofit seeking to bridge the gap between Arkansas and Asian businesses, will host its second annual Global Talent of Arkansas Forum on Sept. 26.

It will take place from 3:30 to 8 p.m. at Flavors Indian Cuisine & Lounge, 211 S.E. Walton Boulevard, Suite 100, in Bentonville.

According to a news release, the Global Talent of Arkansas Forum “fosters critical dialogue among business-minded individuals across industries and cultures, with a particular emphasis on Asian connections.”

Young-Ho Jung, consul general of the Republic of Korea in Houston, will be the keynote speaker. Jung will highlight the growing economic and business cooperation between the Republic of Korea and Arkansas as the state seeks to attract promising Korean startups through area incubator programs, the release shows.

Also at the event, Dr. Raja Kali, ConocoPhillips chair in international economics and business at the University of Arkansas, will provide a briefing on Asia’s economic policies, with a focus on India. The conference-style event will also include a panel discussion on investment opportunities and challenges in Asia, a networking dinner, and a skit of students’ real-life job interview experiences.

Event sponsors include Arkansas Capital, Tyson Foods, Startup Junkie, Arkansas Inc., U.S. Bank, Women in Technology, Michael Mourot and Engage NWA. More information is available online at arkasianbiz.com/events.
