Orchard Townhomes under construction in Bentonville
Work is “well underway” on the nine townhomes in Bentonville being developed by WalkingStick, according to Tom Hanna. The townhome sizes range between 2,760 square feet and 2,935 square feet.
The builder is Springfield, Mo.-based Ross Construction Group, with St. Louis-based Oren Architecture handling design. First National Bank of Fort Smith is financing the project. The properties are located at 421-429 S.E. B St., and 422-428 S.E. C St., in Bentonville.
Hanna, with WalkingStick and portfolio manager with Fort Smith-based KMW Properties, declined to provide a construction cost for the project but said the sale price for each townhome will start at $1.5 million.
WalkingStick is marketing the townhomes as an “incredible location” within walking distance of the downtown square in Bentonville. Each townhome includes a two-car garage, office space, four bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, gas fireplaces and patios. Two of the units will include elevators, Hanna said.
The property also has adjacent walking and biking trails.
“We wanted to develop a project that would fit within the context of the existing urban fabric. The design of these nine for-sale townhomes exhibits the character of the classic Arkansas Giraffe houses combined with hints of post-modern craftsman homes,” Hanna noted. “As Bentonville continues to undergo its renaissance, we wanted the project to embrace Arkansas’ historical architectural roots and help guide the future of infill development within the city.”
In addition to the townhomes, KMW has projects in Centerton, Fayetteville, Fort Smith, Pea Ridge and Rogers. One of their high-profile projects is the Bakery District in downtown Fort Smith, which includes The Mill, a shared office space.
