Kevin Trainor of Fayetteville was recently appointed president of the College Sports Communicators (CSC) executive board of directors for 2024-25. He became the group’s 70th president during its annual gathering earlier this month in Las Vegas.

“I am honored to have the opportunity to serve the more than 4,400 members of College Sports Communicators as the 70th president of this storied organization,” Trainor said. “Today, CSC and its members continue to evolve to meet the increasing challenges and demands of effective communications in a rapidly changing intercollegiate athletics landscape. At this watershed moment, I am confident that CSC and its membership will once again play an integral role in helping shape the narrative of college athletics in the years to come.”

Trainor, a 1994 University of Arkansas graduate, is a senior associate athletics director at the UA. He is the athletic department’s chief public relations officer and is also in charge of the department’s engagement with former Razorbacks in all sports, including the A Club. He is entering his 30th year working full-time for the athletic department.

Founded in 1957 as the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), CSC is a membership association for professionals working in intercollegiate athletics across all levels for colleges, universities and conferences across the United States and Canada.
