New boutique hotel planned for downtown Springdale
A Northwest Arkansas investment group is planning to refurbish a vacant building in downtown Springdale near Walter Turnbow Park and the Razorback Regional Greenway into a new hospitality development.
Spring Street Ventures, led by Greg Taylor, revealed plans Tuesday (May 14) for a boutique hotel at 101 Spring St., north of Emma Avenue, called The Star on Spring. The 9,000-square-foot Airbnb-style hotel will have 10 double rooms and three suites.
“Designed for both business and leisure travel, the stylish and spacious rooms will feature luxurious comforts and amenities designed for even the most discerning guests,” a news release said.
The hotel’s name is inspired by its history as a former Star Automobiles showroom. While the interior of the two-story building will undergo complete renovation, the new owners will preserve the historic brick exterior.
Spring Street Ventures paid William Palkowsky $625,000 for the property in January 2020.
Bentonville-based Pink Door BnB, a full-service Airbnb management company led by Suzanne Styles, will manage the hotel.
Milestone Construction of Springdale is leading the renovation, and BiLD Architects of Fayetteville is the design firm. Legacy Bank is financing the construction project. It should be completed in 2025.
