The Delta Center for Economic Development (DCED), on the campus of Arkansas State University, will host an entrepreneurship training series in April.

The three-part series will begin on April 11, with “A Conversation with Paul Guess.” Guess, president and CEO of Guess and Company, is an Arkansas Delta entrepreneur.

“He will share the story of developing his Arkansas Delta-based company and how it has served his hometown of Des Arc. Paul and his company are shining examples of the entrepreneurial spirit,” said Dr. Cliff Jones, assistant director of DCED.

On April 18, DCED will host Clint Vogus, instructor in management at the Neil Griffin College of Business, with “Entrepreneurship Fundamentals.” With over 25 years of experience, Vogus assists in a consulting role for small businesses and start-ups with DCED.

The final session will be held on April 25, and the theme is “Resources for Entrepreneurs.” It will feature a panel discussion including representatives from East Arkansas Planning and Development District, Arkansas Small Business Technology and Development Center and Arkansas Capital Corporation.

“Learning from the success of experienced entrepreneurs will provide important perspectives and insights on how to lead initiatives in a changing world. Participants will have opportunities to interact with business owners, professors and entrepreneurial support specialists,” said Jones.
